When we last left Marshmallow and Fluff, they had eventually gotten through Mt. Moon, and were wandering the streets of Cerulean City.  And now...
“I’m tired Marshmallow.  Let’s find a place to eat.”
“But we just ate 2 hours ago.”
“Well I’m still hungry.  Beside, that human chased us out of the store before I could finish my snack.”
“All right.  Let’s find a bakery.”
“Why not just go to a pokécenter?”
“Are you nuts!  If we went there, they would stick us in a kennel and...” Marshmallow stopped suddenly.  Her eyes widened.  “No, look out!”  She leaped in Fluff’s direction pushing him into a bush to the side of the path. The surprised trainer looked puzzled.
Shinji peered into the bushes with curiosity.
“Hmm. A Jigglypuff and an Eevee. Cute...”
Scyther stared at the two pokemon intently. “They are kinda cute...” He picked up the Eevee, who was growling at Shinji.
“Vee!” Fluff screamed, before curling up into a small puffball, feeling safe in another pokemon’s hands, or claws as it was.
Marshmallow cautiously prodded Shinji. “Jiggly?” He slowly bent down, to show he meant no harm.
“It’s ok, I won’t hurt you.” He picked up the small pokemon carefully, petting her small tuft of pink hair. She giggled and bounced up to his shoulder.
“Jiggly Jiggly Jiggly puff!” “Vee, Eevee, vee!” “Puff!!” Her cheeks expanded and turned bright red. Fluff held up his paws apologetically, but remained on Scyther’s shoulder.
Sweatdropping, Shinji continued walking with Scyther right behind. “This is gonna be a long journey.”
Scyther nodded his head, and reached into Shinji’s bag. He pulled out a bag of jellybeans, and offered one to Fluff. The Eevee sniffed one and began to nibble on it.
“This tastes great!” Fluff squealed, and began to devour the entire bag of candy.
Scyther patted the small pokemon on the head, who purred.
“Heh, never figured you one for a cute pet Scyther.” Shinji said, poking his friend in the ribs.
“Look who’s talking.” Scyther shot back.
The foursome continued up the path to Mt. Moon. When they got there however, Shinji made a sharp right turn, and headed into the mountains.
As they headed up a steep hill, a small village appeared in the distance. A short man, with gray hair raced down the path to Shinji.
“Welcome home master Shinji! Rei has been expecting you.”
