We find our heroes looking at the sights from the Town
Square. Unknown to them, a dangerous element was descending upon them.
And now…
“Wow, that air show was really fun. I wonder if
Porygon can do other types of tricks,” Icy said.
“Maybe those programmers here can help you with that,”
Random replied.
For some reason, Icy felt something strange approaching.
He looked above him and shrieked. “PIKAAAA!!!”
“What’s wr…” Insane stopped mid-word as he looked up
seeing a silver armored pokémon hovering above them. “What is that?
Another Porygon?”
“Now I fulfill my destiny. Come with me Icy!”
Icy tried to run, but Mewtwo just glowed and they were both teleported to a
distant island.
“What happened? Where’s Icy? Come on, we’ve
got to get help!” The group ran for the pokécenter to get help.
But there was nothing they could do to save Icy now.
Meanwhile, Mewtwo and Icy appeared on a small, dark, deserted
island. “Welcome to my home Icy. This will be the last place you
ever see.” With that, Mewtwo fired a large psybeam directly at Icy,
pinning him against a rock wall.
“Aghhh!!” Icy screamed in pain. Mewtwo stopped his
attack. “W-Why are you doing this to me? What do have to do with
your destiny?”
“You are the one with the gift, Icy. Your psychic
powers, although undeveloped now, have high potential. You are a threat to
me.”
“But I don’t care about battling you.” Icy’s
conversation with Mimic was coming back to him now. “You aren’t going
to accomplish or make people feel any different about you by destroying me.”
Mewtwo was annoyed by Icy’s remarks and fired a short psybeam at him.
“Go Abra! We have to protect ourselves and fight back. Use your
psybeam!” Abra fired multiple psybeams at Mewtwo, but each time they
bounced right off his armor.
“You fool! I cannot be beaten!” Mewtwo
prepared to fire a psybeam at Abra. Just as the beam hit Abra, Icy
returned him to his pokéball. “Now I will finish you!” Mewtwo
fired its psybeam at Icy again.
“Pik… aaaaaghhhhh…. chaaaaaa!!!!” Icy screamed
in pain. It echoed off of every wall. Slowly, he attempted to get
back up. “I-I-I understand how you feel about humans. But killing
me won’t make you any better than them. You will be just like them.”
You can’t possibly hope to be capable of understanding my
life. You humans take those pokémon from their homes and force them to
battle for you. Then you went as far as genetically altering one of them
to create me, to experiment on. Now I will have revenge, starting with
you!” He increased the strength of the psybeam. Icy screamed even
louder. He was almost completely out of energy, but managed to channel
every last bit to form a psyonic shield around him to counter Mewtwo’s attack.
It worked, but Icy fainted from losing all his energy.
Mewtwo looked at Icy’s lifeless body. All the sudden
it hit him. “Perhaps you do understand the pain I feel inside. I
have become no better than those I hate so much. My own hatred for humans
has caused me to be blind. What have I done?” He held his head as
he thought about what to do. “I can’t destroy you Icy. But my
feelings about humans remain unchanged. For what it’s worth, you have
opened my eyes to see some hope for your race.” Mewtwo teleported Icy
back to the town square.
After a few moments, a little girl saw the badly injured
Pikachu lying on the ground. She ran towards it. “Cool, a pokémon!
Ouwww, you’re sooo cute. Huh, you’re hurt. Help! I don’t
think it’s breathing! Somebody help me, please!!!”
An older gentleman heard her cry for help and ran over to
her. “What’s wrong little one?” he asked.
“I found this cute little pokémon, but I think it’s hurt
bad. Please, sir, can you help it?” She had tears in her eyes.
The man took Icy into his arms.
“Let’s take it to the pokécenter. They can treat
him there.” They ran as fast as they could to the pokécenter.
Inside, the rest of Clan Caterpie was waiting for any news
about Icy. When they saw the little girl with the Pikachu come in, they
hoped it was Icy. Insane walked over to the girl and noticed a black
device around the Pikachu’s neck. It was Icy! “Little girl,
where did you find this Pikachu?”
The man spoke for her. “She found him in the Town
Square. Why? Does it belong to you?”
“No sir. Its name is Icy. He’s a human
Pikachu! Some strange pokémon teleported him away earlier this afternoon.
Is he… alive?”
Nurse Joy came in with a group of Chanseys following her.
“We need to act quickly!” The Chanseys took Icy and placed him on a
stretcher and wheeled him into the emergency room.
“Is he… going to be… alright?” Insane asked Joy.
“It’s too soon to tell. We’ll do everything we
can for him.” She joined the Chanseys in the emergency room. As
the doors closed, all Insane could think about was Icy. He hoped he would
pull through.
After they waited for what seemed like an eternity, Nurse Joy
let them enter the ER to see their friend.
The group of friends was crowded around Icy, who was wired to
a car battery. “Poor guy…” Llama muttered.
“What’s a Mewtwo?” Random asked ashamed.
“Definitely not a pokémon I wanna mess with,” said
Lonewolf as she looked at the battery.
“Nurse,” Insanellama asked, “when will Icy be able to
leave?”
“Very soon, but he will have to be partially
immobilized.” Nurse Joy said grimly.
A few hours later… Everyone was sitting in the waiting
room. Nurse Joy wheeled Icy in. He was a paler shade of yellow and bandages were
wrapped over his left ear and part of his head.
“…chuuu…” Icy muttered. He spoke into his translator,
“Lets get out of here…” Random took the wheelchair. They silently exited
the building.
Lonewolf reluctantly asked, “Icy, when will you be able to
walk and move around again?”
Icy’s color was returning as they wheeled down the street.
“I want to walk now,” said Icy, hopping down. Since they were only about 70
yards from the pokécenter, Insanellama sent Rapidash to return the wheel chair.
Rapidash returned a couple of minutes later and the group decided they’d check
out the rest of the city.
“Hey, I got an idea! Let’s do something to lift our
spirits by battling at the Celadon Gym!” said Insane. The group
concurred and they made their way to the gym.
